Meet the Principal
Hello my name is Jim Parker, and I have worked in Rockford Public Schools for the past 23 years.
I have been the Principal of East High School for three years. Before that I was the Principal of Lincoln Middle School and Washington Elementary School. This is my eleventh year in administration. I also taught chemistry for 12 years in Rockford and for three years in another school district right after I graduated from college.
I earned my teacher certificate along with my principal certificate from Northern Illinois University. I just recently went back to school to get my educational specialists degree with a superintendent endorsement.
I am a proud Rockford Public Schools graduate. I graduated from Jefferson High School in 1988. Furthermore, I am honored to work in a district that has been so instrumental in my life. It is a pleasure and an honor to serve as the Principal of East High School, and I look forward to working with the staff, students and community at East High School to strengthen the educational bonds between all stakeholders.
