Dear Families,
We are in need of candy for Trunk or Treat. Please send a bag of candy with your child on Monday. We appreciate your support and can't wait to see you at Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 30th 4:30-5:30. Have a great weekend and remember to dress up for spirit week.

Principal Appreciation Day: This annual recognition was first approved by Illinois' Governor in 1990. We took pictures of our principals at our 41 schools & asked students to draw them for us. Here are some of their works of art. Thank you all RPS 205 Principals!

Halloween is approaching quickly as is Trunk or Treat. Join us on Oct 30th 4:30-5:30 for a little pre-Halloween fun. Please send your candy donations to school to support the event. Thanks for all you do.

We are addressing the issue of absenteeism at our school again this year and need your support. Students who come to school every day and are on time perform better and are more likely to graduate from high school. Please continue your efforts in getting your children to school. Together we can make a huge difference.

Dear Families,
Conferences are today and Thursday from 2:45-5:45 pm. If you haven't made your appointment, please call the school at 815/229-2170 to schedule your time. Conferences are a great opportunity to discuss the progress of your student. Together we can help our children reach their potential.

Dear Families,
We are having a sock and underwear drive for our families during our Socktober & Underboos drive. If you are able, send new socks and underwear to school with your student. We are already well on our way to meeting our goal. Thanks to all who have donated so far. Have a fabulous weekend.

Have a great day!

Both the school district & local law enforcement are aware of a generic Snapchat social media post that's making threats against schools. This posting has appeared in multiple states. Law enforcement is actively investigating to determine the origination of this source. Currently, it's deemed that the threat isn't credible, and it's not specifically targeting RPS 205 schools. Safety is our number one priority, and we take all threats seriously.

Help us celebrate educator’s good work through a Golden Apple award nomination. Click on the link below and tell us in a sentence or two about this outstanding PreK-5th grade educator! Nominate by October 10. https://goldenappleofrockford.com/golden-apple-teacher-awards/nominate/

All RPS 205 buildings are closed today in observance of the federal holiday.
